Happy New Year!

Wow where has the year gone? It seems just like yesterday that we were entering into 2008 and now here it is 2009! Well I hope all is well with everyone. Here is a quick review of the younger popsicle family:

Big trip of the year was to Kfalls oregon where we played games and had fun with my extended family.

I left amazon.com in April to stay home with Devon and save money on Daycare.

Devon turned two this year and of course we had his bday party on the hotest day of the year... in May.

We started and finished our front yard over the summer.

And that is pretty much all the big stuff that we did in 2008. Hopefully 2009 will bring new adventures and more fun and exciting trips.

Tis the season

Wow what a start to the season. It is only 2 days into December and I already feel the rush of the Christmas season. Of course that could be because Thad, Devon and I have all had a cold since Sunday. Anyways, the saddest part of it all is we only have to get half the presents this year but yet it seems like we are getting just as much. Maybe it is due to the economy or maybe it is due to the people we have to buy for. Either way it will be interesting to see the outcome.

On to happier things I have vowed to myself that I would write a Christmas quote in this every day for the holiday so today's quote I will keep it simple:

What a wonderful Day!

Wow what a fun Halloween. This was Devons first Trunk or Treat and boy did he love the candy... even though mommy and daddy weren't to thrilled by the idea. But boy did he look cute. We went to the library and then to show devon off to daddy and grandma at BFT. We then went and saw uncle jeffri who was home alone that week. Next year Thad should be off so we can go trick or treating to the neighbors too.

I was just thinking today how its amazing how a cute little baby can change into a cute little boy in only 2 years. so I figured I would show you all how much devon has grown in the last 2 years.

We are finally done!

After six months of working hard and getting dirty we ar finally done redoing our front yard. just look above to see all the hard work we did (okay thad and devon did with fun toys). I was mainly there for supervision and manual labor. Devon loved playing on the tractor and helping remove all the extra rock. But I think he love the grass even more. Not even 10 minutes after finishing it he was playing ball on it and having fun running on it. We had lots of help through out the process but I think the coolest part was the 10-12 helper we had show up for laying the actual sod. with all that help it only took 30 minutes from start to finish all 825 sq feet.

Now we are going to tiddy up the back yard and then as the weather gets colder we will move inside and work on finishing all the winter projects we started last year, lol. :)
